These terms cover the use of this website and the introduction service it provides. Please read them before sending a request.
What this site does
This site takes requests from homeowners and property owners and arranges roof and attic leak diagnosis, low-slope and flat roofing, flashing repair at chimneys, walls, valleys and skylights, gutter and drainage work, and attic ventilation and air sealing across Syracuse and the surrounding Onondaga County area. We arrange the introduction. We do not go on roofs, we do not supply materials and we do not set the price of any work. The work is carried out by independent contractors who contract with you directly.
What a diagnostic visit produces, and what it is not
A visit arranged through this site exists to find where water is entering a building and to put a written repair proposal in front of you for work that contractor intends to carry out. That is what is offered anywhere on this site that describes a visit. It is not a survey of a whole house, and nothing here is offered as a written report on the condition of a residential building or of its systems and components. New York regulates that activity at sections 444-b and 444-d of the Real Property Law and reserves it to people holding the state license required for it, and a roofing contractor is not one of them. If a report on the overall condition of a property is what you need, for a sale or for any other reason, that is a different profession and we will tell you so.
Figures, code sections and quotes
No number given before somebody has looked at the building is a price. What a repair costs depends on what is found, and anything said beforehand describes what that kind of job usually involves rather than making an offer. Where these pages cite the Residential Code of New York State, the citation is to the 2025 edition, which became fully effective on December 31 2025 and replaced the 2020 edition; a section number quoted from the older edition can be wrong even where the wording survived. Code citations here are published to help you ask better questions, and the authority on how a code applies to your property is the code enforcement office for the city, town or village it stands in.
Credentials in this trade
New York runs no state credential for roofing contractors, and Onondaga County operates no county-wide scheme of its own. That is a fact about this market rather than a claim about anybody in it. What a contractor carries by way of insurance is a matter between you and them, and it is worth confirming directly with them before work starts.
Who is responsible for the work
The contractor performs the work, carries the insurance for it and contracts with you directly. Responsibility for the standard of the work, for the materials used, for the timetable and for anything that goes wrong in the course of it rests with that contractor and with the agreement you sign with them. Nothing on this site forms part of that agreement.

The regulatory, climate and housing statements across this site carry a visible source and the date it was checked. They are published as general information to help you work out what to do next. They are not a substitute for somebody standing in your attic, and they are not legal advice. Sources change, and where a statement matters to a decision you are about to make, follow the link and check it for yourself.
Acceptable use
Do not send requests about properties you have no connection to, do not supply false contact details, and do not use the form to send commercial solicitations.

These terms may be updated from time to time. The version published here is the one that applies.
The $100 credit
We credit $100 against the first job you book through this site. The credit is funded by us, not by the contractor who carries out the work. The contractor quotes and invoices their own normal price for the job; the $100 is credited by us out of the fee we take once the job is booked and quoted, and the contractor is told about the credit when we hand the job over.
One credit per customer per property, on the first booked job. The credit applies once the job is booked and quoted, not to a quotation on its own.
To claim it, mention this offer when you book. Requesting a quote through this site records the offer against your request, and we confirm it with you before the job is booked, so nothing is lost if you forget to raise it first.
The offer is valid through December 31, 2026. The job must be booked on or before that date. We do not set or control the contractor's price, and this credit is not a reduction of that price.
